We perform a full range of endoscopic procedures in our office, many of which are done with minimal sedation and allow for quick recovery.
Endoscopic Procedures
- Colonoscopy
- Routine colon cancer screening starting at age 4545 (or earlier if you are at higher risk)
- Polypectomy (removal of colon polyps) to reduce cancer risk
- Biopsy of abnormal tissue for accurate diagnosis of colorectal disease
- Upper Endoscopy (EGD)
- Examination of your esophagus, stomach, and duodenum
- Evaluates chronic heartburn, reflux, dysphagia (trouble swallowing), and persistent abdominal pain
- Includes biopsies when needed for conditions like GERD, ulcers, or inflammation
- Flexible Sigmoidoscopy
- A focused exam of the lower part of the colon
- Often used for screening or evaluation in select patients, sometimes with less preparation than a full colonoscopy
- Esophageal Dilation
- Performed during an EGD to stretch a narrowed section of the esophagus
- Helps relieve symptoms of difficulty swallowing (dysphagia) caused by strictures or rings
- Video Capsule Endoscopy
- A small āpillācameraā swallowed to capture thousands of images of the small intestine
- Used to evaluate unexplained bleeding, Crohnās disease, or small bowel tumors when standard tests are inconclusive

- Hemorrhoid Banding (Rubber Band Ligation)
- Placement of small rubber bands around internal hemorrhoids to shrink and remove them
