Endoscopic Procedures
- Colonoscopy
- Routine colon cancer screening starting at age 4545 (or earlier if you are at higher risk)
- Polypectomy (removal of colon polyps) to reduce cancer risk
- Biopsy of abnormal tissue for accurate diagnosis of colorectal disease
- Upper Endoscopy (EGD)
- Examination of your esophagus, stomach, and duodenum
- Evaluates chronic heartburn, reflux, dysphagia (trouble swallowing), and persistent abdominal pain
- Includes biopsies when needed for conditions like GERD, ulcers, or inflammation
- Flexible Sigmoidoscopy
- A focused exam of the lower part of the colon
- Often used for screening or evaluation in select patients, sometimes with less preparation than a full colonoscopy
- Esophageal Dilation
- Performed during an EGD to stretch a narrowed section of the esophagus
- Helps relieve symptoms of difficulty swallowing (dysphagia) caused by strictures or rings
- Video Capsule Endoscopy
- A small “pill‑camera” swallowed to capture thousands of images of the small intestine
- Used to evaluate unexplained bleeding, Crohn’s disease, or small bowel tumors when standard tests are inconclusive
Anorectal & Lower GI Procedures
Treating common colorectal conditions often begins right here in the office, with many procedures that are quick, require no anesthesia, and are performed in a standard exam room.
- Hemorrhoid Banding (Rubber Band Ligation)
- Placement of small rubber bands around internal hemorrhoids to shrink and remove them
- Minimally invasive, low‑downtime treatment for bleeding or protruding hemorrhoids
Liver Ultrasound and FibroScan®
We offer advanced liver assessment to evaluate liver health and detect fibrosis or scarring early.
- Liver Ultrasound
- Non‑invasive imaging to examine liver size, texture, and blood flow
- Helps detect fatty liver disease, cirrhosis, cysts, tumors, and other abnormalities
- FibroScan® (Liver Elastography)
- A painless, radiation‑free test that measures liver stiffness to estimate fibrosis stage
- Frequently used in patients with fatty liver disease, hepatitis B/C, or long‑term alcohol use
